According to YS Sharmila, Rahul Gandhi becoming prime minister was her father's ambition, and she would be delighted to help make it happen.
The founder of the YSR Telangana Party and daughter of former Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, YS Sharmila, joined the Congress today. Along with announcing the union of her YSR Telangana Congress with the Congress, she pledged to fulfill any obligations imposed upon her.
Rahul Gandhi, the previous president of the party, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the party chairman, were there when Ms. Sharmila joined the Congress.
She praised the Congress and said it is the biggest secular party in the nation because it unfailingly brings people from all walks of life together.
Following her Tuesday party gathering in Hyderabad, Ms. Sharmila had stated that she and other leaders will meet with Mr. Kharge and the Congress's top leadership in Delhi to make a "crucial" declaration.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's younger sister is Ms. Sharmila. She remarked that she would be delighted to help Rahul Gandhi realize her father's dream of becoming prime minister.
According to Ms. Sharmila, she was pleased to have contributed to the Congress' victory in Telangana.
In an effort to put an end to the BRS, led by K Chandrasekhar Rao, and its purportedly corrupt and anti-people policies, she had declared her support for the Congress during the most recent Telangana assembly elections.
