Lady Gaga is one person we can always depend on to switch up their appearance. Her early years were spent pushing the boundaries of fashion, as seen by her iconic meat dress, her decision to wear leotards instead of slacks, and her appearance at the VMAs in full male drag. Her everyday look is now, however, more elegant and classic with a dash of edge. The famous persona has donned cloud nails, dusty rose manicures, and even no makeup at the Oscars.
Her current appearance is another style change; she's sporting a vintage bob that says, "Jazz music at a dimly lit bar."
Gaga, who recently completed her Jazz and Piano residency in Las Vegas, shared a carousel of photos on Instagram on October 1. She looked stunning in a performance-worthy gown and dazzling makeup, sporting a perfectly styled "malt shop" bob.
Gaga's cold blonde hair was styled in a clean side part for the aforementioned haircut. Her hair ended just above her shoulders, but because the tips that would have touched her collarbone were curled upward, it gave the impression that her hair was shorter. The entire look of the hair was super-retro, with not a single strand out of place.
Gaga's version of the wildly trendy hairdo, which has been seen on celebrities including Zendaya, Ice Spice, Florence Pugh, and Vanessa Hudgens, is a bob. Additionally, it fits in with the "Bob Renaissance" that has been all the rage this year, which has made short, sleek haircuts the new cool-girl cut. Of course, Gaga didn't need a haircut to prove to us that she was cool.
She wore perfect makeup to go with her classic hairstyle. A flawlessly matte base (maybe the Haus Labs Triclone Foundation?) set the entire effect. She applied black eyeliner to her upper waterline and white eyeliner to her bottom lashline for a dramatic smokey eye. The intense black on her outside corner contrasted sharply with the shimmering white tone in her inner corners. Shiny lips and a bright red lip color completed the glitz.
Her classic little black dress with bold touches completed the ensemble. Her high neckline, adorned with an abundance of silver gems, was coupled to the dramatic puffed short sleeves. The identical shimmering material cascaded down the edge of her gown and around her waist. The finishing touch were the classic black heels with points.
