The actor received the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her performance in her most recent film, "Poor Things," at the 35th Annual Palm Springs International Film Awards in Palm Springs, California, on January 4. She arrived stylishly, of course, to celebrate the honor—but what really drew our attention was her hair.
Stone had her hair styled in a flawless throwback flippy haircut for the red carpet walk and award presentation. Her hair was styled practically pin-straight from root to finish, earning her the nickname "malt shop" bob. But the ends of her hair gave a slight turn upwards. She had her red hair parted to the side, with a lot of shine from the roots to the flippy ends.
Along with everything '60s and Priscilla-core, malt shops and flippy bobs have seen quite the comeback. In the past few months, a plethora of celebrities, including Zendaya, Lady Gaga, Ice Spice, and many others, have all donned the look. Given that we are living through the "Bob Renaissance" and that everything retro is currently in vogue, the appeal of this look makes perfect sense. Stone looked amazing throughout, even with her hair. Stone had the most delicate hint of rosy blush on her skin, which looked radiant and moisturized. Her lips were extremely shiny and complemented the color of her cheekbones. Lastly, she had a hint of inky liner under her thick, fluttering lashes.
She looked like a glamorous mid-century Palm Springs woman. She paired the semi-sheer white blouse as the foundation of the ensemble with an enormous neck bow. The accessories elevated the outfit even though she wore the blouse with black jeans. She put a glittering, rhinestone-lined, satin flowery art deco robe on top of the base. She then added even more adornment to the ensemble—gold pins, large earrings, and her trophy, of course.
