Team India is getting ready for the December 26 Boxing Day Test against South Africa. The visitors aim to win their first series in Rainbow Nation while the veterans, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah, make their first appearance since the World Cup. Some Indian cricket players went on a wildlife trip before the series began, and they posted the pictures and videos to Instagram.

Shubman Gill, a young kid, posted pictures of the lions and rhinoceroses he witnessed on safari. He was seen posing with a huge rhino in one of the pictures with the three Indian coaches, Vikram Rathour, Paras Mhambrey, and Rahul Dravid.

Gill is ranked third by Gavaskar.

Shubman Gill is ranked third in India's playing XI for the Boxing Day Test, according to batting icon Sunil Gavaskar. Gill can bat first in the absence of Chetetshwar Pujara, with former skipper Virat Kohli at number four.

My starting eleven will be quite basic. Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Rohit Sharma will bat first. Rankings: No. 3 Shubman Gill, No. 4 Kohli, No. 5 KL Rahul, and No. 6 Shreyas Iyer. Gavaskar informed Star Sports that Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin will follow after 5 and 6.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, decided not to play in the ensuing home series against Australia and the white-ball portion of the South African tour following the heartbreaking World Cup 2023. On December 26 at Centurion, Sharma is scheduled to make his red-ball format comeback against South Africa. Rohit has already returned to the team and has been observed working out in the nets.

Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sharib Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad, KL Rahul (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Prasidh Krishna, KS Bharat (wk) are the members of India's Test Team.
