This week, influencer Natalie Reynolds broke the mold of typical gym wear and became the center of attention on the internet.

Reynolds made the bold choice to dress in body paint as her wardrobe rather than going with the typical sports clothing.

Reynolds said, "I started painting around 11:30 a.m. and finished at 4:15 p.m." "I spent maybe five or six hours sitting there. This entire area is painted, just like pants. Essentially, this is a swimsuit's bottom."

The caption for the video, which Natalie posted on social media, reads, "A man at the gym pressures me for wearing painted 'pants'..."

The person in the video looks to be enforcing standard gym policies, such as the requirement for proper attire for physical activity. Not only does breaking these rules pose a sanitary concern to the gym community, but it is also viewed as a sign of disrespect for others.

After wearing painted-on pants for a social experiment at the gym, Natalie had first drawn criticism. This led to an unanticipated confrontation with a man, which in turn sparked a viral discussion over what should be worn to the gym.

The 25-year-old Kick broadcaster made the decision to participate in what she called a "social experiment" on December 27 during a livestream by bringing body paint to the gym.

As she confidently headed to the gym to work out, a man was seen on camera gently addressing her and calling her clothing "inappropriate."

After approaching Natalie and her video crew, the other gym patron remarked, "If you don't have clothes on, you need to be out of here, ma'am."

Natalie remarked, "I do have clothes on," though, with conviction. "It's okay, I work in the industry enough to know," the man repeated. The entertainment industry is where I work.

It seems that the disgruntled man was saying that it's not appropriate to "videotape" at the gym as he turned to leave the content provider.

With 41.4 million views, a brief video Natalie posted on her X page showing the exchange has gone viral. In the description, the content provider wrote, "Guy in the gym presses me for wearing painted pants."

Many viewers went on to voice their complaints, even if at first it might have just seemed like a lighthearted prank.

X's community notes, which let users annotate information published on the social media network, were another point of contention for the influencer.
